I edited this first post to make the photos smaller but it did not show up on the forum, luckily I have copied the post so here it is.

Rob if you can do another post as a reply to this we can get your membership passed.

Hello All,

first thread, never had to ask before as all my questions have always been answered by past posts, and there is some experience out there.

can anyone give me some information on this racing car (photos attached) it has a single cylinder diesel engine and is constructed of aluminum.

i found it in a box marked "junk" i bought in an estate sale and i believe the past owner was a model engineer.

regards

Rob

That engine looks like a ED diesel, look at this link Here there is a vintage model car shown that could be the same as your model.

The site may give you more info on Tether Cars. It's called the Wasp

Looks just like the cars I saw back in the fifties, round and round in the town hall, what a noise and smell. Got me interested in mod. engineering. Also had model field guns , firing .22 shells !. But can't identify positively.

I race modern tether cars, the best way to get your car identified is to contact Hugh Blowers via this website. www.onthewire.co.uk It also has a gallery of old car pictures on it that might help identify it.

There will be lots of people interested in purchasing that from you. Maybe me even! I have made about 8 of them with various glow and spark engines.
