Hi all, made a start on Emma, having trouble in sourcing specified sizes of Oilite bushes and the springs. Any suggestions? Also for you computer buffs, as you can see I am unable to scroll down for a new paragraph with the enter button on my laptop. My PC is ok so guess there is a setting somewhere. Bill D.

Simply bearings and HPC Iternational list those diameters, you will have to adjust the length but SHARP HSS will cut oilite OK and as its not teh actual bearing surface will be OK.

HPC also do 9.6 x 1.6 x 14.5mm long springs which would be quite close to the 3/8x16swgx5/8

You need to enable compatability mode on you Laptop's IE.

Thanks for that Dave.

Another problem guys, I broke the tip of a centre drill (HSS) while drilling the cross beams, is it possible to soften it to enable drilling out or is it a 'scrapper'

Bill, I did the same and broke a tap in one of the cross beams embarrassed By the time you've finished messing about, it's easier to scrap it and start again. John

Motto of the story is use a spotting drill and save the ctr drill for when you actually want to run a ctr in the hole.

Thanks for help to all. Ordered bearings from Simply Bearings, Springs from Lee springs, both yesterday, ordered cast wheels from Reeves Wed evening, all arrived today. Excellent service I think deserving of a mention.Bill D

Following on from my last post I also ordered some materials from Macc. All ok apart from a missing piece of stainless steel, ordered two but only one in the pack. It happens, so sent e-mail a couple of weeks ago and a chase last week but still no reply. I recall similar posts about slow response from Macc, will I eventually get a reply? Bill D
