It's a regular bike night so folks can incorporate a motorbike ride and see the Lanc trundle up and down. Costs about £10 to go and see. ![]() 1376 forum posts 10 photos | I wonder why this is in the news all of a sudden? It's at East Kirkby, just up the road from the Battle Of Britain Memorial flight. The airfield has had it's runway lifted to make way for housing but the hardstanding is still there and they regularly fire her up and taxi her around. It's well worth going to see the museum. |

![]() 150 forum posts 1 photos | I watched a film on the first rebuild in the early 90's - I think they'd got two of the Merlins functional at that time. I seem to remember they were using parts for the engines which weren't certified for flight as the intention at that time was only for the Lanc to taxi. Good luck to them...
