Hello,

Somebody recently asked a question about cutting gears or clock wheels. He was having problems with the indexing ; odd sized final tooth. Does anyone remember where this is?

Thanks in advance,

Mark

Hi Mark,
I think the thread you are looking for is
"Wheel Cuting thin tooth?" (Note cutting is mis spelt in the thread title.)

Another argument for correct spelling? i.e. searches.

I have just had another look at the "Wheel Cuting thin tooth?" thread to see what the cause of Peter Bell's problem was but unfortunately he did not give the outcome.

Les.

Hello again,

That's what I was looking for. I thought I had the same problem but it turns out the 36 hole circle on my homemade plate only has 35 holes.

Thanks

Mark

I think the title of the original thread implied the thin tooth was cute compared to the others

Now someone has confirmed my suspicion that the online editor can drop characters, perhaps we should give typos like that the benefit of the doubt!

Yes Les, it's a shame we never bottomed out that one.
