126 forum posts 32 photos | just for a laugh really this post. the other day i purchesed a 1/4 bsp tap and every thread i cut with it came out over size even tho i was using the correct tapping drill size so i measured up the tap and yep its over size so i buy a set of presto taps taper second plus so now i have 4......... then after i got this set i rembered about my other box and went in there and found anougher 5 so yep i now have 9 off 1/4 bsp taps feel like a right mellon anyways thats my day |

Mich been there cap, T Shirt and lots of spares in the workshop, even ended up with 2 rotary tables at one point I got carried away at a club auction. Bob |

533 forum posts | Michael, Worth bearing in mind that ISO metric taps are always over nominal size, by design. Don't think this is generally true of imperial taps though. David |
