I was about to renew my sub to MEW and gave up waiting on the phone line this morning.

Thought I would try online this evening and got a bewildering number of subscription websites that came up - tried this one -http://www.isubscribe.co.uk/Model-Engineers-Workshop-Magazine-Subscription.cfm and they say an online subsciption with a bank direct debit is £29.99 for 13 issues. This is somewhat cheaper than the "guaranteed lowest price available" from Tower House.

What's going on? It looks a genuine offer and it apparently saves 42% on the RRP not the 26% offered by Tower House. Am I missing something or have I been paying over the odds for a few years?

The £29.99 subon that site is for the online mag not the posted version isn't it? Which is the same cost as the ME site....or am I missing something too?

Hi There
This is a digital subscription but is not mentioned on the Isubscribe site.
I have complained and been ignored.

I did exactly the same as Bob Lamb earlier this year and had £50 taken. Was going to complain like Bob but never got around to it as I thought that it looked to good to be true and almost certainly referred to the online price, so did not do anything. Thought it was a bit of a cheek though, the way it was done. Misleading Advertising.

Thanks for the replies. It would seem sensible to me to have a dedicated web address for renewals on the renewal form then there wouldn't be any confusion. I'm going to try again and phone on Monday morning!
