I have an ancient clamp type knurling tool made by Billings of the U.S.A.
The knurls are 3/4" X 1/4" X 1/4" bore.

I need to replace them as they are well and truly clapped out but I can't locate a U.K. source of knurls  this size.

My surfing efforts flag up loads of 3/8" wide knurls but I can't modify the tool to accomodate those as there isn't enough meat on the tool in any case the knurl holder is hardened.

Any pointers as to a source would be appreciated.

Incidentally I am looking for HSS knurls.

I think that is a standard size. Cromwell certainly list them in coarse, medium and fine

Hi

you could also try Chronos, they show the diameter and bore size you're after but don't specify the width, choice of patterns as well - worth giving them a ring 01582 471900.
