New UK Distributor

![]() 116 forum posts | For some time now American Redwing company products have not been available in the UK but, at the recent Bristol ME Show I spotted a poster on the Forest Classics stand advertising the Redwing I/C engine so went for a chat.
It seems that the company have very recently been appointed exclusive UK agents for PM Research and Redwing products and will soon have some items in stock and will be able to order in others from the States. I understand that an initial stock order is about to be placed and some of the first products should be available to see at the forthcoming Midlands ME Exhibition in October.
www.forest-classics.co.uk is the point of contact and no, I have no connection with the company whatsoever.
Hope this helps - John |

I see the Redwing is on the Engineer's Emporium website.
Are Forest Classics doing it instead?

Will be handy to have a supplier for PMR stuff as I've just ordered some of their scale pipe fittings direct from the US.

![]() 116 forum posts | I have been keeping in touch with LA Services for a long time now re the Redwing kits but aparently they have been having difficulties communicating with the new company in the States with the view of continuing their agency, as they had with the previous company. I understand that Forest Classics also made an approach a long time ago but heard nothing, then out of the blue, a very short time ago Redwing approached them to ask if they would consider taking on the UK agency so that's what's happening. Whether LA Services is also going to handle products I have no idea.
It will no doubt all become clear as time progresses - all very interesting!

33 forum posts 8 photos | i have built a redwing from pmr castings i think i was one of the first to deal with thjem on these kits the kit builds up into a nice engine and they are gret to deal with.
i met the company when on my vist over there and they were very helpful and also sell alot of other fittings etc which is very useful to the model engine builder.
if forest classics are going to be agents for them this would be great as ive not had alot of luck with la services

![]() 116 forum posts | Further to the above; my Redwing kit has arrived, which I call bloomin' good service. Cost, if anyone is interested is just shy of £500 which of course, due to it being imported, is probably subject to fluctuation so do check first. I understand that a complete engine has also arrived and will be shown on Forest Classic's stand at the forthcoming Midland Exhibition in October.
So far so good!
Brilliant site Stick - thanks for that.

Here is another build site for the Red Wing, the Water cooled version, well worth a look at.
