27 forum posts | Hello Doug, I had this problem not long ago , I bought a 20 inch planer weight about 30 cwt wanted to move it 8 miles. I got one of the local skip lorries to come with a skip put the planer in the skip , skip on lorry, did not have to lift the machine very high off the ground with the slings job done without any damage .

147 forum posts 4 photos | If you can tie it down on a pallet , there lots of UK wide pallet movers who will move it as long as it will fit in their trucks and within the tailgate weight limit ( usually 1500Kgs) . The big difficulty is moving it from the lowered tailgate to where you want it !
I moved my smart & brown 1024 lathe ( about 1100Kgs) some years ago for about £70 for 150 mile trip but expect this would cost considerably more these days . |
