Does anyone know a source of 2mm (width) non-stainless steel chain?

Brass or stainless model boat anchor chain is easy to get, but I want the strength of steel and to be able to black it (I have a tube of Jenolite Koolblak). Worst case I can use brassbut I want to be able to lift a scale load with a bit of strength in reserve

I need about 1m for my crane model (2mm chain at 1/12 scale would represent 1" chain for a safe working load of 15cwt)

Thanks

Neil

Thanks Ian - lots of progress, I've posted an update in 'Miscellaneous Models'.

Thanks Frank. I'm off to look in my Expo cat now...
