19 forum posts 3 photos | Amongst the tooling with the Myford Super 7 I purchased is a genuine myford collet chuck with a large number of Hardinge Collets. This is NOT in it's first flush of youth and I was wondering what would be a fair price to ask for it in the classified section.
I will count up the number of collets and take a photo once I can get out to my workshop. |

If the external collet holder with a load of collets, it might well make around £180 on EBay.

19 forum posts 3 photos | Thank you David.
I am new to Model Engineering and am restoring a 1955 vintage Super 7
The collet chuck and collets is not something I envisage using so will be putting it up for sale.
As you can see there is some damage to the threaded mounting collar. |

19 forum posts 3 photos | Thank you for the advice David.
I just counted up and there are 29 Collets to go with the chuck
I will put it in the classified section as I would prefer it to go to a member and save the ebay and PayPal charges |

![]() 3357 forum posts 112 photos 10 articles | Hi Tony
With that many collets, I would probably put them on Ebay at a starting price of £9.95 a collet.
Then when you have sold most of them, put the collet attachement on with half dozen of the remaining collets.
But then I am a mercenary ***.

1723 forum posts | Surprised you're letting this one go Anthony as after DROs everyone seems to dash out and buy a collet set of far eastern origin and then start to compare notes due to their varying degrees of (in)accuracy and then wish they could get a "Propper" original set.
Usually more accurate than chucks for bar turning and repetition.
Regards Ian. |

247 forum posts 21 photos | I have a metric and imperial set of 'far eastern' collets, absolute bargain, got a set for what I would have paid for one! and yes I would have preferred Myford sets but I have been very pleased with the accuracy of them.
Good luck with the sale! |
