Hi everyone I'm new to this forum and new to model engineering

I'm a compitant fabricator and have been inspired into lathe work

I've just bought a lathe that needs some work but I have no clue of the make or model and wondered if any of you experienced engineers have an idea that could help me

I am just trying to upload my image now

Welcome along Tony, I am sure that someone on here will be able to identify your machine. Unless it is really obscure. Good luck uploading an image.

Well we are all in suspenders now wondering when the image will appear. Perhaps we can make a few guesses to fill in the time. I'm going for an early Myford as they often come up without badges. Surely if you were lucky enough to be the proud owner of a wonderful Durmmond laugh you would know it.

Welcome to the Forum!

Yes, post pictures of the lathe, and if possible give a few details, such as centre height above the machine face of the Bed, and distance between centres.

Hopefdully, there may be a maker's name cast into the bed. With the dimensions requested above, someone may be able to identify it

Howard.
