7 forum posts 2 photos | May have found out how to upload pictures. Here is the breadboard version of my mill to be: The rails are a bit of an overkill. Got the 30mm 500mm long (y-axis) I picked up on ebay for US$99.00. Better price than many smaller axes so I simply could not resist. Stepper is a hybrid stepper which is basically a stepper with a position feedback loop. Table is off a Shop-Fox M1111. Motor on the floor (in the box is a brushed 90V DC 3/4 HP motor that is planned to drive a modified Taig headstock. Headstock is still in original condition as are most of the parts. |

7 forum posts 2 photos | Progress will be slow because local management considers fixing the basement and hanging up Christmas lights as more urgent and important. There's also the inconvenience of a daytime job to pay for the toys. |
