Hello everyone, Retired Diesel tech. Having rebuilt many large engines and functioned in machine shops in the past I have moved into making model steam/air engines.

My first attempt was a Stuart H10 which is up and running. I'm currently building a twin cylinder scratch build.

Cedric.

Hi Cedric welcome to the forum. What sort of machinery do you have as I am always interested how people make what they do with the machinery they have.

Hi David, I currently have a mini metal lathe and a milling machine. I'm waiting for a new lathe to come, some time this week. The mini lathe needs work doing to it in addition I need something that will give me a more accuracy.

For what I have accomplished on the mini lathe it has been fair.

Hi Cedric and welcome from another newbie..

Detroit 2 stroke diesels.. what a beautiful noise! we used to have a pair of 6V92TA's in our old lifeboat exhaling through 12" pipes with a bit of added water to cool them.. Oh what music !!

Thank you for the welcome. Dont see your name sport.

Most of my Detroit work was on the 71 series the biggest being the V16-71 with Routes blowers in Komatsu dump trucks. Yes a good sound like you say music.

Hi Noel, Never saw the 903s. Most of the 71s I dealt with were mining and construction.
