![]() 1129 forum posts 1 photos | Hi All, I have a very nice antique diamond Point glass cutter that sadly is missing its diamond. Does anyone know how this might be replaced as I have several other scrap ones that could donate a diamond? Looks a bit like solder? |

![]() 2110 forum posts 565 photos | I made one from a piece of silver steel which I drilled the end deeper than the diamond but a loose fit. I dropped the diamond in with some flux and with it held down with a titanium pin I silver soldered over the diamond with a low temperature silver solder. After it had cooled I ground back the end with a champher till the tip was sticking out. The body of the diamond which was still held by the solder was holding the diamond in situ. Hope this helps.
