SCGT 06 inserts - do such things exist?

I want to buy a couple of 45 degree holders for square indexable inserts - primarily for chamfering. ARC do them, but they seem to offer only general purpose (SCMT 06) inserts for holders under 16mm - the only inserts for non-ferrous metals they offer are SCGT 09, so I would have to buy 16mm holders. Could do, but it's overkill for my needs. A search on SCGT 06 hasn't turned anything up - maybe such things don't exist for some reason?

I had a look for JB cutting tools but was directed to a Companies House entry saying that the company has been dissolved . That's a pity.

Any advice (other than grind your own out of HSS!) would be welcome.

They may not be widely available due to supply and demand.

You can definitely get 10mm and 12mm holders for the SCMT / SCGT 09 inserts. (I have a 10mm one, but can't remember where I got it. The shank is ~10mm high x 12mm wide).

12mm holders are listed at RDG: 12mm

They also list a 10mm SCMT06 holder , but appear only to offer the SCMT06 inserts.

My 10mm thick tool holder came from 'Chesterfield Machine Tools' on ebay. They now seem to have vanished...

Thanks. I have ordered 12mm holders from RDG and inserts from ARC. So I'm sorted for what I want to do. I had a look a Denitool, but it's easier to just press 'buy' - 12mm is OK.

Good to hear that Jenny is still active - she was very helpful when I was in the market for threading inserts, which in their variety can confuse the amateur,
