![]() 525 forum posts 65 photos | My loco’s windows are 3D printed plastic with rebate for the glass, cut from large microscope slides 1 mm thick. Multiple specks of superglue have let go after a couple of months which is about what I expected. I considered silicone but it is stringy and I couldn’t apply small enough blobs. Any recommendations? |

193 forum posts | The glue used to stick rear vision mirrors onto windscreens may be your savior as it exactly fits your criterion of plastic onto glass. The only possible hiccup is the type of plastic in your 3D prints and whether the glue is compatible. Pero |

![]() 525 forum posts 65 photos | Thanks for your suggestions. I had a look through my glue/sealant collection. The most promising is a clear contact type shoe glue. It doesn’t string too much so I should be able to apply some specs. I am reluctant to buy something special for about the 100 microlitres I need. I had never heard of pinkgrip nor have I ever used hot melt glue. |

How about using the silicone you avoided but masking off all the unwanted areas it may contaminate prior to application using a low tack tape? pgk |
