1 forum posts | Hi All, I've been lurking and learning from the forum for a little while, so thanks for all the useful info! I'm fortunate to live in beautiful rural Herefordshire and own and run a small manufacturing business. I'd like to think that I'm approaching retirement, but that seems to recede further away the older I get! I'm fairly handy with welding, fabrication and general oily bits and spend a good bit of my working life operating, maintaining and fixing machinery. I've recently bought a Warco WM18B, which is brilliant and I've made and fixed quite a lot of things with it, learning and building up some basic skills. Encouraged by that I've just taken delivery of a Warco WM 290V, which is going rather less well! I'm sure it's me, so my ulterior motive is that I'm hoping to pick up some tips from other WM 290V owners and pick their brains. I hope to also be able to contribute later on down the line, when I have a bit more mill and lathe experience. |

7227 forum posts 21 photos | Welcome to the Forum. At the weekend, go to Broomy Hill in Hereford and meet the HSME. They are a very very friendly bunch, so will be extremely helpful to you. They are next door to The WaterWorks Museum. TOO infrequently, I make the long journey across country to do a days volunteering there. Again, the volunteers are a friendly bunch, but their machining is for necessity, rather than for a hobby. Howard |
