Hi everyone.

Just a quick 'hi' from the newest newbie in town. I'm an engineer and artist living in Devon.

Regards.

Kris.

Thanks for the welcome guys, sounds like a nice place. I will definitely be asking questions about my upcoming lathe restoration, that's for sure.

Not there, near the Cornish border. Bude isn't far away.

Welcome!

Which Engineering discipline do you follow?

Lots of fellow Engineers on here, with all sorts of expertise and skills, so you should be in good company.

If you have not yet found and joined a M E club, do so for lots more new friends

Howard.

I've worked in sub-contract engineering for most of my life, over thirty years, gulp! So, manufacturing, and engineering design. I've been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work in various disciplines, not to mention computers, which has made life interesting.

Model Engineering? Is that the meaning of ME? Not sure there is any kind of club near me. Until the last few years I haven't spent much of my spare time doing things engineering related, but I do enjoy making watches now so that's changed that a little.

Looking forward to being here and thanks for the welcome.

There is an informal group meeting near Barnstaple otherwise the nearest proper club is Plymouth I think. However there have been a number of people come on the forum from your general area.

I can believe it, quite a large forum this, and Model Engineering is a popular pursuit.
