1050 forum posts 56 photos | I've made many customisd rivet snaps from round steel bar, silver steel or BMS will do. Make a dimple in the end of the bar with a drill, heat to bright red, place over a suitably sized ball bearing and bash the end of the rod with a hammer. If you wish, put in the lathe and taper the end neatly. The local bicycle shop used to sell packets of small ball bearings in many sizes. |

I assume the dimension quoted for the snap size is the diameter of the formed rivet head and not the shank diameter of the rivet. Am I correct? JA |
