![]() 1655 forum posts 617 photos | Hi guys I'm looking at buying a Veevor 2 axis DRO on Amazon. Seems a reasonable cost replacement for my defunct Ortec unit. It comes with two scale lengths - 1000mm and 250mm. I can't find anything to confirm it but sure I read somewhere else that these scales can be cut to length to suit application. Can anyone confirm that please? I did contact another supplier who acknowledged the query but has not come back with an answer so any advice would be appreciated Many thanks - Tug |

![]() 396 forum posts 111 photos | I have the Vevor DROs on my mill, they work fine and even have 2 layers of silicon dust strip where other more expensive ones have one. Plenty of youtube vids on how to cut them. Paul, just google Vevor,as I don't think admin will allow that link. Mike, they're glass but you can cut magnetic as well. ![]() 1655 forum posts 617 photos | Thanks guys - having watched some of the videos I'm now pretty confident I can do this without too much mishap. Have to say much surprised at standard bandsaw blades going through the glass without completely shattering it. I'll get one on order then
Cheers - Tug
