That is such a shame that nobody has take you up on the offer.

I would have asked for it but I am a total beginner and feel that I would not do it justice as it is I have just started the Rob Roy as a first project and seeing how far I have got since starting it is going to be a long slow build but then I am enjoying every minute of it.

I hope it finds a good home with someone who will see it's full potential.

Bill, It was a nice offer but people are sometimes a bit reluctant to grab free stuff or feel like Derek, plus it was only two days ago and some people only check the forum or even emails once a week.
But it will be even better if you get inspired to work on it yourself. You might get some encouragement from your local club. Where abouts are you?

Bill, as I said in the other thread it would not be too hard to either fabricate or cut from solid a pair of cylinders and the remaining parts. I'm sure I saw one like this a week or two ago but can't recall where.

I could probaby be talked into taking it on but may not be top of the list to get done.

Thanks Derek - good to see you have started a Rob Roy - lovely little engine . Pics please of progress as and when would be good

Bazyle - out in the sticks in Devon Nearest club is 50 miles.

Jason - if you could recall anytime and post a picture , would be much appreciated. Looks too good to be scratch built., but would like to find out a bit more.

Everything is imperial so have discounted the foreign suggestion.

So where did the 12mm and 14mm cylinder mounting flange sizes come from?

Derek, You are the first to say you would like it, so you are top of the list. Good home and no selling on would be the only condition, as it would be a gift. From your progress on Rob Roy, I am sure you will be able to do it justice.

Bit interested to detemine what it should look like, cylinder size etc so leave it with me for a while as info may help rebuild

bill

Everything is imperial so have discounted the foreign suggestion.

Thank you for the kind offer Bill as I stated I will not do it justice so will pass I have sent a reply by PM

You said to me in your last message you had someone else who wanted it so it's obviously not a total reject.

Having seen it in primer OI would say it is actually a home built fabrication, you can easily see that the flywheel spokes have been milled out and under the paint it looked like the leg of the frame was soldered to the trunk guide
