Hi the castings for Drumond parts for some things like tumbler reverse, rear toolpost, fixed steady for M Type, and other bits are going to be made available to purchase from Rob Gough in the near future. He has been given the patterns from Geoff Walker to use and he has been to see a founder to get a quote for castings. I am having a pattern made for the fixed steady which will be ready in a few weeks. He is also having a pattern made for the Potts milling spindle if enough people want castings for it. Have a look at the Drummond web site if you are interested.

He is not doing this to make money but to cover the costs.

Best of luck chaps

The mods which can be invented with a co-operative foundry are endless

I also think you should make a few quid out of it, to cover the effort involved

off the top of my head:

Tapered gib saddle and topslide

Big bore headstock casting

big bore tailstock casting
