226 forum posts 17 photos | I was recently making some toolholders for my QCTP. It's a Norman patent style, with one side slit for a clamping screw. I got one bored and another halfway trepanned before I realized they were oversize about 60 thou (1.5mm). Actually, they're about 30 thou over, but they would be 60 thou if I finished the bores. Because of the clamping scheme I assumed putting a sleeve in the bore wouldn't hold up. Would you salvage these, and how? A completed (but not prettied up) holder is on the right. |
