334 forum posts 1 photos | Does anybody know if SPG Tools of Hinkley are still in business. I was going to send a link to their web-site to a chum and I can NOT access the site. It seems that the Domain is up for sale. Happy New Year MC

. Presumably, therefore, you will have a receipt and can cross-check that Company number that I found. MichaelG. |

. Presumably, therefore, you will have a receipt and can cross-check that Company number that I found. MichaelG. I've got my receipt from buying a mill from there in 2015. No company number on it but company name and address are the same. Website was up and running a few weeks ago when I had cause to look at it. Edited By Mick Berrisford on 08/01/2022 17:00:30 |

334 forum posts 1 photos | Thank you ALL for taking the time to respond. I'm a little surprised that the Web-site worked for Mr. Lewis when it would NOT work for me! I have written to the address provided by Mr. Downes and await a response. My experience with web-sites is that they often display incorrect information - on the basis of a web-site, I went to the nearest Lidl to buy a box of 107 HSS drill bits for £14.99 (as mentioned in another thread) only to find that I was wasting my time! The Interweb is the last place that I will look for information about anything! |

If it was just a Google search, you probably saw this: … which is simply Google’s ‘directory’ in action, and to understand what that involves: It’s worth following the link that I have ringed in green. 334 forum posts 1 photos | I'm afraid that the Green encircled link does NOT work on my system but I am grateful to everybody who has (and perhaps still is) looking into this for me. I have written to the firm and will know, in due time, if they are still in business. When I was buying my Mill from SPG, they rarely answered the telephone and I was reduced to leaving an message on a Telephone Answering Machine - so I don't believe there would be any point in ringing. With best wishes and thanks again. MC

10668 forum posts 2415 photos | It's a bad time of year to jump to conclusions. Apart from it being the Xmas/New Year Holiday period, the UK is experiencing very high sickness rates at the moment due to Omicron COVID. One in ten Londoners last week. COVID may not be bothering stay at home pensioners much, or bumping large numbers of people off thank god, but it's causing havoc in the workforce at the moment. When my son returned to work on the 5th, he was one of six out of twenty - more than two thirds of his colleagues were off-sick with COVID. In the circumstances it wouldn't be surprising if a small-business failed to notice they hadn't renewed their website subscription. The website provider is probably fully automatic. All their staff could be sick, while the computer still sends out reminders and disconnects anyone who hasn't paid their bill! Wait and see. Dave

334 forum posts 1 photos | I have written to SPG and will see if anybody replies. Although I am a pensioner, I am a member of a number of Clubs and Societies and am avoiding those where attendance would involve travelling on public transport (specifically Tube and 'bus). I accept Mr. Duffer's suggestion - waiting will NOT do any hard! I looked at my Mill a few minutes ago and could not see any clue as to the manufacturer. I expect that the same model is sold by other companies with different labels. With best wishes and thanks again. MC
