18 forum posts | I could do with locating a good UK supplier of 10x10x100mm or 125 mm HSS tool steel. I'm not sure about the far Eastern stuff if it's like everything else from there hence the question, and Ebay's very hit and miss unless it's branded stock. Recommendations appreciated My thanks. Reference is 080-060-40110 Catalogue 11 list at £5.09 ea + p&p,,but prices may well have increased since the catalogue was printed. ![]() 2320 forum posts 452 photos | All my tool steel I have bought from ARC both Cobalt and non Cobalt and its all been fine with no issues, also the pricing is good. I think the 10mm square may be out of stock though so you would need to check.

2536 forum posts 24 photos | If you only intend to use it on the mild steels available, cheap-er HSS may do, if used on more exotic steels things will go bang. That said I have had taps that don't tap mild steel as well as centre drills that explode on exotic stuff from an ME show trade stand that Dormer etc are happy to cut. |
