![]() 3 forum posts | I have limited model building experience, just the one completed to be honest which is a carousel I made for my granddaughter (pic will hopefully be my avatar once its been approved). I am slowly working on a waltzer for my eldest grandson and hopefully before my time is up I will get something done for all my grandkids. I found the site while searching for some info about a Coventry diehead thread which is kind of a second job for me, it started as just refurbishments for the company my wife works for but lately they have been asking me to make spares too. I have a 1940's Harrison 14" lathe, a crude milling machine I made from the remains of a Drummond round bed lathe, 3D printer and a part done cnc router amongst other usual bits. Still in the process of looking through the site at the moment but it looks interesting so far |

605 forum posts | Hi Dwayne, I am a Brummie now living in Somerset. Been in engineering all my working life but only got started in ME a few years ago. I can tell you there is a wealth of help on this forum from people with formidable skills, if you get the chance go to a Model Engineering exhibition to see what I mean, superb engineering and works of art. Sadly due to Covid, exhibitions have been in short supply. The Midlands one is a good one but had to be cancelled again this year, held at the Warwick exhibtion centre, a good venue. Bill D. |

Hi Bill, I am just south of Brum in Redditch. Me and my mate go to the midlands model engineering show most years. Was a bit disappointed when I saw it was cancelled as I had hoped it would be back. |
