Has anyone found a work-around for viewing the archives now that we can no longer use Adobe Flash.

Some recent copies can be viewed in PocketMags but not the early editions.

There was talk that they would be converted to another format that could be viewed but I have not heard of an update on its progress.

Lightspark and Ruffle have been mentioned at a replacement viewer but I have not had any success with them on MEW.

Question was raised last week and Neil said he would enquire about progress which from copied e-mails I have seen he has done, waiting for reply.

What can be viewed on Pocketmags will to some extent depend on when you started your digital subscription and when you registered on Pocketmags I can get back to sept 2013 on ME (don't have MEW).

It is not just Pocket mags that you can view the more recent issues on but also this site, About the beginning of 2019 is when the mags were first uploaded in HTML5 rather than Flash format.

Thanks Jason. I have seen some of the new format ones but it was some of the earlier copies that I was interested in.

You can view the archives using an Ipad. I use google Chrome on my Ipad for the Internet but the archives can be a bit clunky.

Micky,

I'm running Win 7 with Chrome and Firefox and have the same problem with both. Ok to open the recent archives which are in a different format to the old.

Are you able to open the old magazines from the last pages of the archive library ?

Paul.

Hi Paul I am only able to open the old archive files with an Ipad. That includes the old magazines on the last page of the archive library.

I have tried everything I can think of to open them on a computer but have failed so far, that is anything prior to MEW 180.

I know that the archives are being updated to htlm5 but it is a slow process and i understand that Neil is chaising it at the moment.
