Anybody interested?

Lot number 500 at the H J Pugh dispersal sale at Chalfont St. Peter. I have no interest. I’m looking at a couple of other lots. Pic is on the net.

Just had a look at the lots, i quite fancy that titchy old tatty lathe, to do up as a xmas pressie for a mate, stop him asking me to machine stainless pistons for every motorcycle he buys lol, he can make them himself then 🤣👍

I think lot 443 will go for more!. What happens at thee sales? Half the lots aren't even worth the scrapman's petrol so do they just leave it as the estate's problem to clear?

Gah! Looked at the catalogue. That's fifteen minutes of life I'll never get back.

Could have saved a whole lot of time and trouble by rolling most of the stuff into Lot 203 "Scrap Heap".

The little Richmond Mill at lot 506 looks interesting if its only rusty rather than knackered.

Obviously left by a "Collector".

Further proof that auctioneers haven't a clue about presentation, catalogue arrangement or any intention of getting the best prices for the sellers. Bit more care would have made thing much more attractive. Dumping books on the path to photograph. Really.

Way back I had a bit to do with Sothebys and was not impressed. All mouth, no trousers with barest glimmerings of useful intellect or understanding.

Clive

You cannot get away from the fact that this is/was an agricultural dispersal sale, held in a field!
