22 forum posts 11 photos | Cheers Emgee, what are you basing your assumption on? Do you have an EC chuck? Is it just the general look of it ? Glad your guess agrees with mine, hopefully these pictures stay on as i messed it up first time like a numpty lol. hopefully i’ll get a few more agreeing with you, i’ll start looking around to buy the collets then. thanks again for your response. 22 forum posts 11 photos | Wow, thank you Mr Parkin, that does indeed look like mine … guess i was nervous as there are no designation, markings, makers mark or stamp … nothing ! does yours have anything written on it ? John C was kind enough to suggest i scotchbrite it cleaner & hopefully reveal something, but still nothing lol. Edited By NooNoo on 03/08/2021 15:08:18 |

1186 forum posts 11 photos | Rotagrip have some info. on the various-sized Burnerd collets in this document: http://www.rotagriponline.com/datasheets/Pratt/PrattChuckSpares.pdf Briefly, there was EB, EC and ED. EC is by far the most common and the other sizes are unlikely on D1-3. Please also read the information here: https://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/threads/today-i-acquired.50192/page-1490 concerning the closing ring of early models needing modification to accept 'E'-series collets. |
