You could buy a set of castings from Stuarts for that and get the enjoyment of actually building onesmiley

Has there ever been a design for a fabricated one?

Easy enough to fabricate as there are really only two major castings. The crankcase is a bottomless box with the cylinders on top so easily silver soldered together from steel with drop in iron liners. The valve chest at the top can be cut from solid. Discwheel and pistons from Iron bar. Bed and conrods from Aluminium.

Just get a set of drawings for the cast one and take it from there.
