Warco WM 18 vs GH 18 for CNC conversion

Hello, after some opinions on which machine would be better for a CNC conversion. I would want to convert the GH 18 to belt drive, just wondering if the castings and column is better on the GH 18.

Thanks in advance.

Very little info on the WM18B but definitely an option...

It seems to be very similar to the Precision Matthews PM-30MV

Have you seen this: **LINK** ? MM32L Milling Machine Base From cnc4you.

Looks similar to this from Amadeal : **LINK** but with the mechanical parts of the CNC conversion already done.

They both look similar to the WM18B.

They do look like the same machine. Not too impressed with the conversion, no captive bearing on the x axis looking at it...

Plan to machine all the parts myself as that's part of the fun.

I am sure the WM 18B is the same as the PM-30V, My WM16B came with a PM-25 users manual. The only real difference is the interlocked cover over the top, which I like as its quick to open and close.

Good choice. It's a beast in the flesh, I saw one at Warco's showroom last summer.
