The ME article implies these two items can be prchased, but I am ubable to find a suitale source. Can anyone give me a clue as to who to use ? Malcom from looking at the article I think it was suggested that only the shut off valve could be substituted for a commercial globe valve. Most of the ME suppliers will have these listed under boiler fittings for example here and here though usually with threaded ends for nutted unions so you will have to do a bit of modification to be able to screw them into the governor valve or to join with flanges though there is no real reason the shut off has to be right on the engine and could really be anywhere in the supply line or even on the boiler or compressor. If you want a flanged valve then you will need to look a bit further afield You may be able to modify a water valve for the governor as these are 1/4 turn valves |
