Scale Model Traction Engine Design & Construction

1 forum posts	Hi I am in the middle of constructing a 3" scale model Little Samson Traction Engine. I am trying to locate the book by Edward George to compliment the drawings I have, anyone have any ideas? JohnP

798 forum posts 27 photos	You could try Edward direct although I suspect he hasn't any copies left. He has recently sold the Little Samson designs to Steam Traction World, no idea if that included the rights to the book or if they intend another print run, again Edward would be your man! Only other chance is a used copy from someone who no longer wants it, a post on Traction Talk may yield a copy. I have seen similar requests for books fulfilled that way. Paul.

25215 forum posts 3105 photos 1 articles	I don't think Edward has had any spare copies for a few years. As Paul says second hand, as well as TT put a wanted add here and on Homewoekshop. TT also has many build threads on the LS in all it's sizes so worth reading through those to see how others have done things You could also track down the old issues of ME that the build was in though they are a bit more specific to just that engine where as the book gives alternative methods often using Edwards Fowler as an example.
