Clearly it was never anticipated to use 3/4" tools clamped directly to the cross slide, but to use holders or packing with smaller tools. 182 forum posts 1 photos | The size of the Myford tooling as fitted to the "Boat" is 1/2".. When fitted horizontally in the "Boat" the distance from the base of the Boat to the top of the tool is 23/32" . Hope that this helps although I used 1/4 " blanks when I has an ML7
