72 year old retired Physics teacher . BC Prof was the name give to me by a group of 6th form students as an alternative to Captain Planet given to me by Graham Swann before he became a world class spinner .

Started off aged about 8 with an interest in model aircraft progressed to control line . Interest in model engineering came from an engineer from British Railways who had Model Engineer magazines from the 1940 s onwards . Enjoyed metalwork for one year at the start of Secondary School but could not continue with it as I did all three sciences so self taught "engineer?"

Current interest is in 5" gauge live steam .
