79 forum posts 36 photos | I'm just seeking information from anyone who has made a 1" Minnie traction engine. I am in the later stages of making the boiler and in the book there is a mention of a blowdown bush and it even includes a drawing of it. What I can't see i the book or the drawing is the location of it. Looking at pictures online it looks like it goes on the throat plate very low down on the off-side. Does anyone know the exact location as I really can't see this from the drawings. |

Mine works out to about 1/2" (12.7mm) up from the bottom of the foundation ring and 1/2" in from the wrapper side to the centre of the bush (mine is 7/16" did and comfortably clears the stay above it- Your boiler is coming on well.
