![]() 3 forum posts 3 photos | Hello everyone. I am a 66 year old retired RAF helicopter pilot who is trying to learn basic engineering techniques. My father was a RAF engineering apprentice and gave me a good grounding. 15 years ago I inherited a LeBlond 10” Regal lathe along with some tooling. I recently purchased a Warco WM 16 Mill and am busy teaching myself to use it and collecting tooling. I have converted my single garage into a workshop and enjoy pottering about and making the odd tool. Plan to add DRO to the mill and continue my self learning apprenticeship. Would like to get to the stage where I can start to build a steam engine from a castings kit. |

If so, join, so that soon, hopefully, you will be able to socialise with fellow enthusiasts, and get face to help, advice and demonstrations. Howard
