129 forum posts 13 photos | My present project is the construction of the Vega Twin IC engine. The plan suggests using Free Cutting Stainless steel for valves etc. So excuse the daft question but does Drill Rod have the similar properties ? |

94 forum posts 49 photos | I think "drill rod" is agar the Americans call silver steel, free cutting stainless is in old money EN58AM or free cutting stainless iron, it's nice stuff to machine and much better than silver steel.
