Is there anyone near Godalming who could collect a smallish item and then post it to me?

Have you thought why the seller insists on collection ? Maybe they are self isolating or in a vulnerable group, no car or easy way to get to post . Collection from a safe place is what many ppl are doing during these difficult times. Why don't you just send a courier such as DPD,DHL.TNT or similar for it ? The costs are pretty inexpensive. Just go onto ipostparcels or similar. It will probably will cost less than paying PO rates and a gift for someone else to collect it.

Weight & dimensions would help.

regards

I believe that the L in Godalming is sounded today but wonder whether it was always so.

It was a piece of equipment for repairs

he said he would post bits of it but the whole was TOO heavy to post ( 8kg)

So I’ve sent him a box and bubble wrap with a prepaid label and he’s dropping it off at local shop(hermes)

Best of luck with it, I would have been able to help, as up until 11 years ago, I lived in Godalming. The l is indeed sounded, Godal (like waddle) and ming (like a vase). Its Weston Super Mare now, there are hundreds of people in the sea during this hoy weather.
