I have noticed for a while that arc eurotrade are not advertising any more on this forum. Hope they are ok. I did get a email a few days ago from them to say the seig SX3.5 DZP was now back in stock. So must still be trading.

Steve.

I have noticed that also, but I have been looking for something on their site in the last few minutes, and all seems ok.

Hi Steve,

ARC and AUSEE adverts were taken off at our request at around 4pm on Friday 5th June 2020.

We had originally requested for them to be taken off at the end of May.

There is a disagreement between us and MTM over a particular issue. Before end of last month, they requested us to give them a few days to resolve the matter. As the issue remained unresolved by 3pm last Friday, we requested MTM to remove our adverts. At present, I would like to avoid getting into details of the disagreement.

The email you received about the SX3.5 DZP was an automated email which I think went out last Thursday, as soon as we off loaded the container and put the machines into stock. You got the email because you put in your email address on the website, to be notified when the machine was back in stock. Your request to be notified would have been many moons ago, before you were steered into the direction of Tom Senior, which I am sure you are enjoying.smiley

And YES, as far as I am aware, everything is okay at ARC, so far, as at close of business on Monday 8th June.

That's great news Ketan. Hope to see your ad back on at some point. When I received the email it got me thinking, mmm what if. Never mind I am happy with what I have & for the amount of time I use it. The SX3.5 does look like a nice machine though. indecision.

Steve.

Yes, indeed, plus one to that.

I wonder if they will be restocking model engineer's BA and Imperial requisites once again?

I don't recall them ever doing BA or ME and they have always tended to be more Metrically orientated.

Is there some connection between Arc and Aussie? Unfortunately Aussie is in Melbourne and I am in Sydney. OK for small items but if I want an SX 4...

ME you are no doubt correct Jason. My mention of "model engineer's" was in respect of requisites for a model engineer!

There are clearance BSW and BSF items on sale today.

So maybe I have answered my own question. Ketan at ARC?

Thank you Steve and Mike,

Happy to be back - advertising.

Mike: ARC used to sell BA taps and dies about ten years ago. Demand was too low for us to stock the range, and cost prices kept increasing from our suppliers. So we discontinued. Few years later, similar story developed for BSW/BSF, so, once again, these were discontinued. There are about three different sizes of BSW/BSF taps left in clearance.
