My retirement present to me was a tired Myford Super7 which has given me hours of fun over the last few years.A repeating job is now driving me to investigate a big bore conversion. Any help, contact details or helpful comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Derek Grant

Welcome along Derek, I am not a Myford user but someone will be along soon to advise.

Any chance of using a fixed steady to spin larger diameter jobs in the S7? Or is the job too long. (Let me guess, motorcycle fork tubes?)

Welcome to the Forum, Derek.

I think there are two main challenges - disassembly, as things can get stuck, and setting up to get everything running smoothly.

Derek, I believe Myford [Nottingham] were asked if this was possible and they said it was not but !! my guess is sooner or later someone will come up with a conversion -- maybe ?

However there is a post on this forum **LINK** you may find interesting.

John
