If I put up a post that is considered unsuitable for any reason and removed by the moderators will I know about it?

A couple of posts I have made from work have not appeared on the forum and I wonder if it because they have been moderated (I hope not - I try to avoid anything too off the wall) or blocked by filtering at this end?

The system does occasionally lose posts, I've had a few of mine disappear, but it's a very small proportion.

We will, occasionally, delete posts, but usually it's fairly obvious why this happens - blatant advertising, upsetting, abusive or inflammatory comment or ill advised comments which could raise legal issues.

If you want to ensure a post upload hasn't been blocked by your employers server, just refresh the thread, with "More Latest Posts", and see if it appears.

I use Opera as a browser, where I have mouse gestures enabled, so it's sometimes possible to inadvertently page back after I've posted.

This takes my to my previously formatted post composition window, at the end of an unmodified thread, still completed from when I typed it originally. It's then quite easy to inadvertently re-post the same thing again, as the thread is showing the previous version from cache. i.e. from before my post was uploaded.

One of our mods was kind enough to delete the duplicate last time I managed that one; you can report your own post if necessary.

We usually delete these 'silently' when we spot them. There's always a tiny risk that we delete both copies by accident if two of us spot them at the same time.
