He sunk it accidentally a number of times, and I helped dry the engine out afterward. It needed the bilge pumped just about continuously while in water, the "seals" at the wheels were not effective. |

It's done quite well considering they didn't expect the vehicles to last more than a few days or months in the war, the manufacturers would be dead chuffed if they could see it still alive after 70 plus years! |

893 forum posts | We never had amphibious JEEPS like that when I was in the army. Willis or Ford 6 volt Workhorses, simple to work on, rugged, drank petrol but that didn't matter, fill it up. Next, the Landrover much more complicated, easily damaged and off the road, followed by the disaster, the Champ.John
