37 forum posts 13 photos | So, back in October 2018 I decided I wanted to build a working steam engine after an accident took away some of my other hobbies. So, I visited the Stuart Models HQ/shop near where I grew up, and left with a Stuart 10V castings Kit... (I wanted the Twin Victoria, but was advised that that is a much more technical kit, and probably beyond a first build.) So, roll the clock forward a few months, I got the engine running, albeit noisily by about February this year, where it sat on a shelf and didnt move whilst I got a few other things in order. The last week I've been tidying it up, replacing a few parts with better engineered ones, preparing it for painting, and planning mounting it to a board, as I'm showcasing it at a fair this weekend, which will be interesting. Hopefully it will run for the day... Anyway, I'll get some of the hundreds of photos uploaded once I have figured that bit out. Thanks for reading, Del |
