![]() 121 forum posts 100 photos | Hi, I am currently building the D & NY 2" scale Traction Engine. I am working on the rear axle brackets and need to mill the area where the axle block moves up and down. This is like a T slot. The area to be machined is 1 1/4" wide x 1" high and 2" long. The lip each side that makes it a T slot over hangs by 1/8" each side. (Hope this makes sense) My question is can I use a T slot cutter to machine this. Or is there another way. Thanks Garry |

Also make sure that the diameter of the head is at least 1/4" larger than the shank, some small tee slot cutters just have a neck for shallow clearance then a large shank. |
