Hi all, in this weeks haul of engineering stuff from my local clearance guy was this zip cased set of unusual instruments by RONEO VICKERS.

Have found some images etc on the web but have no idea what they were used for? Industrial or just for fun?

From the net:

‘’Designed to write, draw or create patterns and images onto stencils which were then placed around a ink filled drum which would create stenciled images.”

Also useful (at least, some of the tools) for making a wax 'pattern' for lost wax casting. This is (Was) a favourite starting point for such things as bracelet charms, and the casting produced would then in turn (for a quality job) be re-tooled and tidied to act as a master for mass production.

Cheers, Tim

Roneo Limited was of course the leading duplicator company, based in Romford. Its rival was Gestetner
