Schedule 40 pvc pipe (as opposed to pvp) comes up in searches

one link here **LINK**

Not that i call anything with pegs and guy-ropes free standing... Anyhow you could as easily use some decent timber or ally poles and when you weigh as much as I do then i would trust paracord unless I'd braided a few strands....

google dot com (USA) shows pvp pipe as 'pressure vessel pipe' images show thick-walled 'plastic' pipe.
doesn't help at B&Q though, does it !

That instructables site has overblown instructions for the simplest things just to catch a few searching punters and sell advertising. They'd make a meal of boiling an egg. devil

Looks like the sort of thing we used to make when I was a scoutleader, use a length of timber (a pioneering pole in ScoutSpeak)

Sc 40 is an American spec you just want PVC pressure pipe which in the UK is designated by letters, Class E is probably the easiest to get hold of and the highest pressure rating so thickest.. Pop into your local Koi specialist or if you want white the swimming pool pipe will be upto the job.

Try here or just put "class e pipe" into Google.

I get through quite a lot of pipe at work for various research projects and tend to use:

Always had great service. They have a good range (including white sch40).

Cheers,

Mike
