1920's Door handle Repair

36 forum posts 29 photos | Hi I’m hoping that somebody with brazing equipment is willing to help me! The door handle (see photos) is from a 1920’s building and suffered some metal fatigue. I’ve made a repair, which just needs silver soldering into the door handle boss. I’ve tried today with my “plumbers” blow torch, but I can’t get it hot enough to melt the silver solder. Is there somebody in the Yorkshire area (I live in Leeds) who has the correct kit and is willing to help me? The silver solder I’m using (CuP Alloys 455), has a melting point of 630C - 660C Thanking in anticipation Tony
