Johnson Matthey Metals. Member of the Sales Technical Services team concentrating on the sale of brazing materials, equipment and techniques and overcoming customer difficulties when silver soldering.

1975-77

BOC selling and developing electron beam and laser welding equipment

1977-83

Sheffield Smelting Co. European Sales Manager responsible for brazing materials

1983

Set up, owned and managed CuP Alloys Ltd to sell and manufacture copper (Cu) phosphorus (P) brazing materials to any industry involved in the manufacture of copper products e.g.refrigeration, air conditioning, water heating, electric motors. My younger daughter as part of her Business Studies program took us into supplying small quantities to the High Street suchthat in

2005

We formed CuP Alloys (Modelling) Ltd specifically to supply brazing materials (silver solders, soft solders, fluxes and torches) to the model engineer.

2012

After 45 years in the business I retired or thought I had! Main involvement now is the presentation of talks/lectures on silver soldering to societies and exhibitions.

2018

Author of "Guide to Brazing and Soldering - everything you wanted to know but were afraid to ask"

It's written around BS EN 14324 but more readable and less than10% of the price
